The City of Los Angeles is experiencing a motion to get folks from their cars and onto bicycles or on their own feet. As such, some visitors lanes are being removed, and that’s what occurred in the South Bay. But that move caused an uproar with residents, so much so that last week Los Angeles City Councilman Mike Bonin reversed the so-called “road diet” in Playa Del Rey. In this meeting with the Conan Nolan of NBC4, Councilman Bonin describes his decision. Although this controversy appears to have been solved for now, other “traffic calming” or “road diet” measures continue throughout the city.
