Dr. Russell Gornichec is the Medical Director of Integris Surgical Weight Loss Center at Baptist Medical Center and the Medical Director of the Weight Loss Center of Oklahoma.
Dr. Gornichec began his career as a fireman/paramedic in the Dallas, Texas area and with the advice of two trauma surgeons decided to pursue a career as a medical doctor. He proceeded to join forces with Integris Baptist Medical Center where he has led the weight loss surgery program to achieve American College of Surgeons Center of Excellence status.
At the end of 2010, Dr. Gornichec performed the first robotic weight loss surgical procedure in Oklahoma at Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City and continues to develop the weight loss surgery landscape in Oklahoma City.
